SECOND PRIZE IN LITHUANIA

SECOND PRIZE at the Kaunas Talent Festival (Lithuania)

Belarus, Moldova, Croatia, Serbia, Armenia, Germany, Malta, Italy, Macedonia, Russia, Ukraine, Israel, Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Romania, China, USA and Spain. These are the countries of origin of the 78 participants of the 17th edition of the Kaunas Talent Festival, held on 23, 23, 25, 26 and 27 November at the Auditorium Theater of the University of Kaunas, the Auditorium of the Cultural Center and, the final gala, in the Kaunas Arena sports pavilion, produced by the National TV of Lithuania with a large deployment of media. Extraordinary involvement and collaboration of public organizations at cultural and tourist level in the Kaunas Talent Festival, twinned with the Universong – Canary Islands International Song Festival. Both international competitions were born in 2001.

Our representative: ROBERT MÁTCHEZ, artistic name of Roberto Matos Sánchez, from Tenerife, who on this occasion won the Second Prize. Robert, at 28, manages the company Medley Producciones (Musicals), has worked on “Jesus Christ Superstar” and “Evita”, under the direction of Jaime Azpilicueta, who also directs “Sunset Bulevard”, which premieres next month. December in the Auditorium of Tenerife and in which the young singer from Tenerife also participates.

Robert Mátchez was the winner of the “Festival de Candelaria” and founder of the European Youth Choir. He currently shares his artistic work time between Madrid and the Canary Islands. The FESTIVOX online platform, the voice of the festivals and the artists, was presented as part of the festival’s activities. The presentation was made by the president of Orfeum, Guillermo Albelo.

This new platform will be a great promotion center for music and dance contests and the artists that participate in them and will have its base of operations in the Canary Islands with an International Committee formed by professionals from 15 countries. The EUROSINGERS international program is organized by ORFEUM Organization of European Music Festivals with the collaboration of the Government of the Canary Islands and AIE Society of Artists and Performers.
