First Prize for Canarian composer and musical group in “The Akademia Music Awards” (Los Angeles – USA)

‘Que Viva El Caribe’ signals a major new talent in the Latin genre – Salsarrica has the best musical instincts we’ve encountered in a long time and will likely invade charts on both sides of the equator.’ (The Akademia Music Awards).

The song “Que Viva El Caribe” won the First Prize (Best Latin Song) in “THE AKADEMIA MUSIC AWARDS” (Los Angeles – USA).

The song has been performed by SALSARRICA, the Canarian group that has most songs dedicated to the carnival. Founded in 1989 by the composer and producer Guillermo Albelo has sold hundreds of thousands of albums and, throughout its history, have collaborated prestigious artists from Canary Islands and other communities and countries.

On this occasion, the soloist voice has been run by a young interpreter from Tenerife – JESÚS EXPÓSITO – with great mastery of Latin music.

The song has been composed and arranged by the producer and founder of the group, Guillermo Albelo, including in the album ¡Viva Viva El Caribe 2017! (Tabaiba Records). The part of mixing and mastering has been done by Gilberto Martín / Mas Pro Music. This is a new and important international recognition for the music created, interpreted and produced in the Canary Islands.
